As if we needed any more reason to dive into Stardew Valley, there’s a new version 1.6 update coming soon. Creator Eric Barone, also known as ConcernedApe, recently took to Twitter to offer fans a sneak peak of the forthcoming update.
Barone’s Tweet showed off a picture of the game’s calendar, updated with the new 1.6 label. Along with the update, the calendar includes several new events, including the Night Market and Stardew Valley Fair.
The Night Market will take place in mid-winter and will feature a variety of items to purchase, such as clothing, food, and other special items. The Stardew Valley Fair, on the other hand, will occur in late-summer and will include the Egg Festival, where you can gather eggs and turn them in for rewards; the Flower Dance, which is a type of dance competition; and the Great Apollo Show, featuring a variety of mini-games.
Barone has also teased possible new Major Update mechanics that will change the way you play Stardew Valley. He’s not ready to talk about the details yet, but it will be interesting to see what he comes up with. Other potential updates include a photo mode for taking in-game screenshots and new furniture sets.
The new Version 1.6 update will be available for all platforms of Stardew Valley. It’s sure to give players more ways to customize and explore the world of this beloved farming sim. We’ll be waiting with bated breath for the release of this update. Keep your eyes on Barone’s Twitter account for any more sneak peeks or official release news.
