Players can expect to hear the thumping beats of Travis Scott’s most popular songs like “Sicko Mode”, “Goosebumps” and “Antidote” while playing this updated version of Mortal Kombat. According to Travis Scott himself, “It’s an honor to be part of the iconic fighter, Mortal Kombat 1.” The new version of the game will also feature fan-favorite characters like Street Fighter’s Ken and Ryu, Mortal Kombat’s Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Noob Saibot, as well as some additional characters. Each one of Travis Scott’s signature moves and exclamations will be featured in the game.
The game can be pre-ordered from Steam, Xbox Live and the PlayStation Store. Fans who pre-order the game will get access to three exclusive skins for Travis Scott—the Cactus Jack skin, the Astro Jack skin and the Sicko Mode skin.
The original version of Mortal Kombat 1 was released back in 1997 and has since become a cult classic franchise. The game series had a successful movie and two sequels. It has been reported that the plot of the game follows the same story as the original game: The armies of the weakened Netherrealm, which is led by Hostmaster Shang Tsung, are seeking to take control of the living realms by defeating all of its inhabitants.
The new version of Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on April 23rd and fans can expect some new and exciting features. The game will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and will be the first Mortal Kombat title to feature a 3D fighting ring.
