Ed Boon Teases Wi-Fi Filter & Crossplay for ‘Mortal Kombat 1’ Release

Mortal Kombat 11 ⁣is ⁣one of the biggest hits of the year, but fans⁣ have been clamoring for the opportunity to experience the classic original Mortal Kombat 1. Now Eden Boon, creator of the Mortal Kombat franchise,‌ has teased the‍ possibility of a Wi-Fi filter and‍ crossplay feature for the upcoming‍ release.

Boon took to Twitter to share a screenshot of what appears to be a ‌Wi-Fi filter ⁢menu in the PS4 version of the game. The menu allows players to customize ‌the matchmaking experience by selecting regions they’d⁤ like to play in, latency⁤ or ping limit, and whether or not to allow‍ crossplay.

Crossplay is becoming increasingly popular across many ‍different video game franchises, ⁣and it would be a ‌great addition to⁤ Mortal Kombat 1. It would ⁣allow players of all platforms to⁤ compete against each other, potentially leading to new strategies and tactics.

The original⁣ Mortal Kombat 1 has held up remarkably well over the years, but it’s⁤ likely to get ⁤more attention with improved ⁢graphics and new ‍features like Wi-Fi filter and crossplay. Boon’s tweet‌ indicates‌ that the game is in the works, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release.
