King’s Quest Creators’ Colossal Cave Coming to Mobile this Summer
Adventure gamers rejoice – the classic game experience King’s Quest Creators’ Colossal Cave is coming to mobile devices this summer!
The Colossal Cave Adventure is an adventure game originally created by Will Crowther and released in 1976. It was popular in the late 1970s and early 1980s and is considered to be on the of the first computer role-playing games.
This modern incarnation of the game, Colossal Cave HD, is being brought to life by contemporary developers Roberta and Ken Williams, creators of the King’s Quest and Mixed-Up Mother Goose series. It will include all the core features of the original, such as a limited text parser and the need to type commands to progress, while enjoying an “enhanced experience” on modern-day mobile devices.
The game will be free-to-play and supported by advertisements, but a premium version without ads will also be available.
Whether you’re revisiting an old classic or discovering it for the first time, Colossal Cave HD is set to make the jump to mobile devices this summer.
