⁢ Colonel Sanders, the iconic face ⁤of KFC for more than 50 ⁤years has been
​ remade for a special‌ collaboration with the global ⁣hit MMORPG,
Final Fantasy XIV. The‍ game’s new expansion, Shadowbringers, has been
‍ ⁤ taking​ the world by storm – so much so that KFC has decided to
‌incorporate the‌ popular ​character into their Japan TGS booth.

‌ ‍ The special collaboration redesigned Colonel Sanders ‍as a mysterious
‍ ‌ ‍Black⁢ Mage​ from Final Fantasy⁢ XIV, with the ​same ⁣iconic white ​suit –
⁢ but⁢ with a blue⁢ tone and a signature pointed hat. The theme of the
⁣‍ event was a “Shadowbringers Black Mage KFC Cafe” – simulating the
‍ typical ​cafe settings from the game.

‌ ⁣ ‌Not‍ only was ⁢there a ⁤giant figure of the black⁤ mage Colonel Sanders
‌ present at the booth, but also an assortment of ‍familiar characters
​ from⁤ the Final Fantasy​ universe, all‍ decked out in their iconic
⁣ ⁣ ​ KFC outfits. The KFC cafe menu⁢ was also based on the in-game
⁤ ‍ ‍‌ multiplayer​ cafe dishes.

To commemorate the special event, KFC released a series⁢ of
⁤ ​ ⁢ ‌ characterudes based on the KFC-fitted Final Fantasy characters, as
​ ⁣ ⁤well ‌as ‍a set of KFC-inspired ⁢playing cards. The imagery in the
‌ cards were based on classic Final Fantasy characters including
⁣ ​ Cloud ⁤Strife, ⁤Yuna, Vivi and Balthier.

‌ ‍ As ‍the collaboration⁣ was held in Japan only – fans of Final Fantasy
from⁢ other parts of the world can⁣ still join⁤ in on the fun!
⁣ ​ ⁢ KFC have also released an official Black Mage Colonel ⁤Sanders
⁤ merchandise, and it’s ⁣available‌ for fans to‍ purchase online.
