The release of Baldur’s Gate 3 is inching closer with each passing day, and with the game set to feature some of the most detailed and expansive RPG systems to date, players will need to be armed with a powerful system if they want to enjoy the full experience.
Developer Larian Studios recently shared a list of minimum and recommended system requirements. PC players are going to need a powerful machine if they wish to bring out the best of this highly-anticipated RPG.
The minimum requirements for Baldur’s Gate 3 are as follows:
- Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
- Processor: Intel microprocessor Core i5-4690 or AMD equivalent Ryzen 3 1200
- Memory: 8GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD Radeon R7 370 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 960/1050
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 70 GB of space
- Network: Broadband internet connection
If you want to maximize your experience, Larian recommends the following:
- Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
- Processor: Intel microprocessor Core i7-7700K or AMD equivalent Ryzen 5 3600
- Memory: 16GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti/2060
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 70 GB of space
- Network: Broadband internet connection
The game also requires an active internet connection and a Stadia account. Since it is an online-only game, patching and current-gen support will be handled through Stadia.
Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released for PC through Early Access sometime in 2020. Your system will need to meet these specs if you want to play as soon as possible.
