BLANK Studio, a startup composed of Condor Games co-founder and ex-CD Projekt Red developers, has recently raised a $17 million investment from NEOWIZ. The announcement on twitter reads:
We are excited to announce that BLANK Studio is joining forces with South Korean publisher NEOWIZ! With their support, we hope to further accelerate game development at BLANK!#gameholic #neowiz #gameenews
The studio, comprised of game industry veterans who previously worked on high-profile projects such as The Witcher 3, was founded in 2019 in Poland. The investment should come as no surprise, as it validates the potential of the team to develop high-grade games.
“We are thrilled to join pushed NEOWIZ. Their vision towards the industry and commitment towards delivering quality experiences is in line with what we want to achieve.” said Maciej Binkowski, the studio’s CEO.
The investment announcement comes as the studio is set to release their debut game in the coming months. Little is known about the game, except that it is a co-op online shooter. Nevertheless, should it be anywhere near the success The Witcher 3 achieved for its creators, the world can expect a high-tide within the gaming industry.
BLANK Studio joins the list of successful Poland-born studio’s such as CD Projekt Red and Techland – suggesting a very bright future for the Eastern European nation in gaming.
