Titanfall 2 Matchmaking Fixes Rekindle Hype for Potential Titanfall 3, Apex Legends Teaser Hints at More
The hype for Titanfall and the potential of a Titanfall 3 has been rekindled following recent matchmaking updates for Titanfall 2. As a way to thank its players and keep fans excited for the franchise’s potential future, Respawn Entertainment also teased what looks to be a possible Apex Legends collaboration in the game.
Titanfall 2 has been out since 2016, but Respawn has continued to support the game and develop new content for it, including new matchmaking fixes in the form of an update back on December 16. The update improved re-connecting mechanics, fixed network cable detection and matchmaking system improvements. With a dedicated team still behind a two-year-old game, it’s not hard to see why players are showing an increased interest in the potential of a Titanfall 3.
Taking the conversation further, data miner Shrugtal discovered what looks to be a collaboration with Apex Legends, the popular battle royale title developed by Respawn. Following the ‘Nightfall’, a new limited time mode in Titanfall 2, Shrugtal found a teaser that reads: “Apex Legends – Get Ready For The Drop”. The teaser appears to be a way for Respawn to remind its players where it’s at right now – developing fan favourite battle royale titles – and to thank them for their continuous support of Titanfall 2.
Regardless, the fanbase for Titanfall 2 now has a renewed interest and hope for Titanfall 3 and the potential for other possible collaborations between the games. Hopefully with the right matchmaking updates and teasers like these, Respawn can excite its fan base and give a new life to the beloved and award-winning Titanfall franchise.
