The recent NASCAR race in Europe was a day that will go down in history. Dutch driver Max Verstappen wasn’t in the race, but his friend, Jacky van der Ende, certainly was. He managed to pull off an impressive win, the first international win for Dutch drivers. Needless to say, Verstappen was overjoyed.
Verstappen posted a tweet afterward: “I’ve never felt so nervous in my life watching that race! Congratulations @jackyvanderende! #nascardonemission”. The post was met with an explosion of love from fans of both racers, congratulating van der Ende’s monumental win.

Verstappen himself is no stranger to international race wins; he’s taken first place in a number of Formula 1 races over the years. However, that doesn’t mean he’s not just as excited and passionate about a friend’s victory. As an avid fan of motorsport, Verstappen is always happy to celebrate any win for his fellow racers, and this was surely no exception.
Van der Ende was also grateful for Verstappen’s support, responding: “Thank you so much for all your positive energy and support Max Verstappen, it means a lot. Looking forward to the next race!”
