It’s been over a decade since the release of TY the Tasmanian Tiger 3: Night of the Quinkan was released. Fans of the long dormant platformer can finally rejoice, as TY the Tasmanian Tiger 4: Bush Rescue Returns is releasing on September 26.
In the fourteenth installment in the series, players assume the role of TY as he travels around the world, meeting new people, and fighting off evil forces. In Bush Rescue Returns, TY teams up with new characters to investigate suspicious activity and work together to save the land of Southern Rivers.
He battles swarms of enemies, drives a variety of new vehicles, uses different weapons, and uses his trusty Boomerang to despatch bad guys. Additionally, he must visit new islands, explore underground caverns, and dodge a multitude of hazards in order to save the day.
Players also have the opportunity to tackle the game’s 16 brand new levels either alone or with up to four friends. If single-player just isn’t enough, you can even compete against up to eight people in mini-games such as Rally Race and Bull Rush.
The release of TY the Tasmanian Tiger 4: Bush Rescue Returns marks the franchise’s return to mainstream platforms after a 14 year absence. With a wide variety of levels, weaponry, and vehicles to choose from, as well as the potential to team up with friends and battle enemies, TY the Tasmanian Tiger 4 looks to be one of the franchises most memorable outings yet.
