Fortnite’s annual winter festival celebrates the wonders of winter and brings players together to battle it out in the snow-covered Battle Royale world. The festivities start on December 20th and run through January 7th, where you’ll be able to take part in snow-themed LTM modes, play unique seasonal challenges, and more. To get ready for the big event, you’ll want to make sure your character’s ready to take on the cold by completing daily objectives that reward you with free snow-themed rewards. Additionally, limited-time items will also be available to purchase from the in-game store, so make sure to check in often for new items to customize your character and load out.
The big highlight of the event is always Prove Your Worth, where you’ll have to complete special timed-challenges with various rewards, such as exclusive cosmetics, exclusive sprays, funky pickaxes, and more. Plus, you’ll also be able to take part in the Festive Frenzy tournament by showing off your skills on the battleground. The tournament winner will receive an ice-themed loading screen and rewards.
Along with all the competitions and challenges, Winterfest will also feature tons of special events in the Creative mode. You can enter the Snow Globe Showdown event and join forces with up to four players in the snow-covered creative world, with the winner receiving exclusive Winterfest rewards. Not to mention, Winterfest also features plenty of Earn, Create, and Share tournaments, giving creative geniuses the perfect opportunity to show off their skills and win awesome prizes.
